Would you wear a wide legged crop?

During my time in Nashville this past summer at Nisolo, I noticed so many cool, sustainability-conscious, and fashionable ladies rocking wide legged crop pants. The first pair I saw were this khaki Jesse Kamm number, and I scoured the internet for weeks in search of them. When I found them they were a whopping $395. Not exactly hip on an intern budget, but especially beautiful in “Bill Cunningham Blue.” (And what an apt name.)

I’m currently wearing a similar pair recently launched by Everlane. If you don’t know Everlane, they are a massive brand crush of mine who tick all the boxes--ethically responsible, beautiful, reasonably priced, and well made. Their clothes do tend to lack bold color options and pattern that I crave, but if you’re in search of a key basic--look no further.

This pair was in my cart as soon as they launched. I had a pre-existing site credit from a pair of trousers that didn’t work out as a Christmas present. They’re comfy and though I may be a bit late to the party, it’s good to mix up my usual high-waisted jeans or beloved COS trousers.

What do you think? Would you wear a wide legged crop, or do you maintain that skinny pants are the best thing to happen to widespread fashion since the invention of denim?
